Are your windows difficult to reach from the outside, for example on higher floors, in apartments or roof windows? Interior sun screens are a practical and safe solution. You attach the screens easily with strong vacuum suction cups, directly to the glass, without drilling or screws.
Within minutes, your interior sun screen is securely in place. This keeps heat out, improves indoor climate, and provides extra privacy.
This is why you choose for interior sun screens:
Interior sun screens immediately reduce heat and soften intense sunlight, making your home noticeably cooler and more comfortable. Unlike standard window coverings, our screens are designed to block heat, not just filter light.
For interior mounting, Sun Eclipse screens are available in White and Boulder. These light colours absorb less heat, giving more effective protection from heat inside your window.
Our interior sun screens are suitable for any flat glass surface on the inside of your window. Whether it’s for living rooms, bedrooms or home offices, you can easily install the screens from the inside, without any drilling or screws.
Windows in a dormer are often difficult to reach from the outside. With interior sun screens, you can safely and easily install the screens from inside, without ladders or scaffolding. This keeps the heat in your attic under control without drilling or screws.
Living in an apartment or on a higher floor? Exterior mounting of sun screens may not be practical or allowed. Interior sun screens offer a safe, accessible solution, reducing indoor temperature without altering the façade.
For interior installation, screens are available in White or Boulder only. These light colours absorb less heat and transmit less heat to a room, which contributes to a more comfortable inside climate.
The exact heat reduction depends on factors such as glass type, glass thickness, and window dimensions, but you will always notice a significant improvement compared to having no sun screen.
Many traditional interior solutions, such as blinds, roller blinds or pleated blinds, block light but often trap heat. Air conditioners can cool the room, but they are expensive and use a lot of energy.
Our interior sun screens are designed to reflect heat and significantly lower indoor temperature, creating a more comfortable living environment without permanent installation or high costs.
At Sun Eclipse you can order custom sun screens starting from just €25. This allows us offer the lowest price per m², without compromising on quality.
A smart and sustainable choice for any interior.
Already using an air conditioner? It won’t have to work as hard, saving energy while keeping your home comfortable.
At Sun Eclipse, you decide how your sun screens look. You can choose between Optimal View screens and Maximum Sunblock screens. Both types are available in multiple colours and suitable for interior use.
Our recommendation: for interior installation, choose Maximum Sunblock in White or Boulder for the best results. Lighter colours absorb less heat, providing a more effective cooling effect.
Best choice
with interior mounting
Interior screens are easy to install from the inside. No ladder, no scaffolding, no struggling to reach inaccessible exterior windows. You attach the screens safely and quickly directly to the glass using strong vacuum suction cups.
Installation in short:
Removing the screens is just as easy. Store the sun screens clean and dry so they can easily be reinstalled next spring.
With proper care, your sun screens last for years. Both the screen and vacuum suction cups are UV-resistant and hardly discolour. After the summer, simply remove and store them clean and dry.
For cleaning, use the Sun Eclipse cleaner and a soft cloth. This cleans the screen and suction cups while degreasing the glass for optimal adhesion.

The best indoor sun protection is a solution that blocks sunlight as close to the window as possible. Curtains are often positioned too far away from the glass, causing heat to build up between the curtain and the window. Window film, on the other hand, is attached directly to the glass, which causes the glass itself to heat up and release heat indoors, with a risk of thermal cracks.
Sun protection with suction cups is an ideal alternative for indoor installation. The screen is attached directly to the glass using vacuum suction cups, while still hanging approximately 2 cm away from the window. This blocks sunlight before it enters the room, without heating up the glass itself. This system is especially suitable for apartments where windows cannot be opened, rental properties, and listed buildings, as no drilling is required.
For indoor installation, a light-coloured screen (such as White or Boulder) is recommended. Light colours reflect sunlight, preventing the screen itself from heating up. Choose Optimal View if you want to maintain visibility to the outside from your living room, or Maximum Sunblock for bedrooms where maximum heat reduction is more important than visibility.
A major advantage: you can measure everything yourself, no installer is required, and delivery only takes 3 to 5 working days. In addition, sun protection with suction cups is affordable from just €25 and is 10 to 15 times cheaper than an electric screen.
Sun protection mounted on the outside of the window blocks the most heat. The reason is simple: the screen captures sunlight and releases the heat outdoors before it reaches the glass. This is the most effective principle for heat reduction.
The screen type Maximum Sunblock offers the highest heat reduction: up to 97% when a dark screen (such as Anthracite or Black) is mounted on the outside. Dark screens absorb heat and release it outdoors, similar to a black T-shirt in the sun. Because the screen hangs approximately 2 cm away from the glass, the heat does not transfer directly onto the window.
For slanted windows, roof windows and skylights, we always recommend Maximum Sunblock with a white screen. These types of windows are often exposed to direct sunlight, and due to the angle, the screen always rests against the glass.
Dark screens absorb more heat and transfer this heat back onto the glass. This can cause the glass to heat up further, which may lead to stress or, in exceptional cases, cracks.
A white screen reflects most of the sun’s heat and transfers far less heat onto the glass. That is why a white screen is mandatory for slanted windows.
For comparison: curtains block significantly less heat because they hang further away from the window. They absorb part of the heat and then release it into the room. Window film heats up the glass itself. Sun protection with suction cups combines the best of both worlds: it is positioned close to the window without causing the glass itself to overheat.
Yes, screens can also be mounted on the inside of the window. Although exterior installation is the most effective option, interior installation provides an excellent solution when mounting outside is not possible. For example, in apartments with non-opening windows, rental homes where changes to the exterior façade are not allowed, or listed buildings.
With interior installation, the screen still blocks sunlight before it can deeply enter the room. The screen is positioned approximately 2 cm away from the glass, meaning sunlight is already stopped close to the window.
The difference compared to exterior installation is that the absorbed heat is released indoors instead of outdoors. Because a light-coloured screen reflects most of the sun’s heat, the screen itself barely heats up. As a result, the effect remains significantly greater than with curtains or window film.
Sun protection with suction cups is especially suitable for interior installation. The vacuum suction cups are attached directly to the glass, so no drilling is required. However, the glass surface must be completely flat; the system does not work on textured glass, patterned glass or stained glass windows. The screen is suitable for virtually any window size, including unusual shapes such as triangles, round windows and trapezoid windows.
Heat-blocking and blackout are two different functions of window coverings. Heat-blocking products are primarily designed to keep heat outside. They reflect or absorb sunlight to keep the room cool, while often still allowing some light through so you can maintain your view outside. Blackout products are designed to fully block light, for example in bedrooms, but do not necessarily reduce heat.
A heat-blocking screen such as Optimal View allows you to look outside while blocking a large portion of the heat. This makes it ideal for living rooms where you want to enjoy daylight without overheating. The screen type Maximum Sunblock combines both functions: it blocks up to 97% of the heat and provides a strong blackout effect, making it highly suitable for bedrooms. With a white Maximum Sunblock screen, visibility is more limited, but you can still partially look outside.
In short: if you want a cool and dark bedroom, choose Maximum Sunblock. If your priority is heat reduction while maintaining your outside view in the living room, Optimal View is the best choice.
Yes, Sun Eclipse screens fit all shapes of flat glass. Please refer to the measuring instructions during the ordering process for non-standard windows.
Yes, this is possible!
Sun Eclipse screens are 2 cm from the window’s surface so that the window will not heat up when the screens are mounted in front of the window. This is in contrast to e.g. a film that is attached to the window itself. However, there are some guidelines that must be followed with HR+++ windows.
